Web Experience Manager

InterWorks is looking for an experienced and talented Web Experience Manager to join our Marketing Team. This position will work with our content strategy folks and designers to develop engaging user experiences on all web media, all while understanding, improving and tracking the goals of our web-based marketing.

As an expert in this area, you will own the website experience and work with business stakeholders, creatives and developers to create compelling, effective, and innovative online experiences that result in impactful experiences for our visitors. A key focus for this position is to deliver intuitive, engaging, and action oriented experiences that achieve increasingly measurable results. The Web Experience Manager will help build new user experiences and enhance existing user experiences to drive more sessions, improve engagement with our content on the website, optimize lead capture and improve conversions from web traffic to sales opportunities.

The Web Experience Manager will be a self-starter with analytical and strategic capabilities, plus demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively and creatively. They will possess a passion for achieving practical business impact while upholding the high standards of how to approach our markets.

Successful candidates will have exceptional interpersonal skills and initiative. The ideal candidate has a strong background in web strategy and long-term ownership of web properties. They understand information architecture, SEO standards, all while possessing a love for the intersection of design and technology.


You will:

  • Own the success of InterWorks global web properties
  • Work with our content team directly to publish and manage web content
  • Assist in telling stories with a web-bias through words, imagery, layout and tech
  • Understand and report on web metrics and results
  • Build and execute larger project roadmaps while maintaining active sites
  • Communicate the results and implications of ongoing design, content and lead generation effort
  • Play a significant role in quality assurance on all web properties
  • Work closely with our Development team, understanding the roles and responsibilities of those individuals versus the Marketing team
  • Drive and ensure brand consistency across all channels
  • Drive long-term Web strategy by balancing data, technology, design and our unique culture

What You'll Need:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in web strategy, design and development
  • Experience using the WordPress content management system
  • Experience with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools
  • A deep understanding of web standards and optimization
  • Proven capabilities in identifying target audiences and driving website experiences that engage, inform, and motivate as well as optimizing websites, landing pages, and the overall user funnel
  • Strong understanding of the balance between data-driven and design thinking
  • Working knowledge of front-end and back-end web development and the design limitations and capabilities of both
  • The ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities and balance short term needs with long term strategic initiatives
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
