Marketing Analytics Intern

InterWorks is looking for a Marketing Analytics Intern who can help our Marketing Analytics Team to deliver value by leveraging the multitude of data available across our partnership.
 

Here’s an idea of what your responsibilities would be:

  • Use internal teams raw marketing data and business intelligence tools such as SQL, Tableau, SAS, Excel and PowerPoint to help them better understand lead generation and conversion effort
  • Make data-based recommendations to improve/optimize marketing channels and InterWorks lead generation goals
  • Develop and build a variety of reports for internal teams, primarily using Tableau, and Excel, but also with other software packages as directed
  • Develop, catalog and maintain Tableau Dashboards to support various reporting initiatives
  • Work together with internal account teams on data, reporting and analytical issues, such as data tracking, report validation, segmentation, customer profile development and marketing ROI
  • Develop and provide written and verbal output on reports and presentations
  • Contribute at every step from reading in the data received, rolling it up, analyzing the results, preparing the PowerPoint deck and presenting

Here are some qualities we are looking for:

  • Ability to define and convey key metrics to help understand performance of channels (i.e. email) as it relates to engagement
  • Learns analytic methods and develops consistent process of analysis
  • Proficient at telling a story with data to convince an internal audience
  • Ability to translate complex data analysis into laymen’s terms for non-technical business users

Skills/tools experience:

Required:

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Marketing), Analytics, Finance, or another relevant field
  • Loves numbers and digging into data
  • Possess communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with internal/external stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word, with a working knowledge of data visualization tools (Dashboarding, Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects)

Nice to have:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in a business environment
  • Advanced capability in using traditional analytics software such as (Access, SQL, Excel, Tableau, PowerBi, Python, R)
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Salesforce, and Pardot
  • Strong attention to detail, focus on efficiency, and delivers work with accuracy
  • The ability to get deep in the details to understand what the information is saying and yet see the big picture and make strategic recommendations

This is a paid internship; however, students may pursue academic credit depending on their department.
